
Brendon is an educator, a curriculum and student life leader, a theatre practitioner, a writer and a proud papa.
He is the founder and community lead at Cultivate Education. Brendon is the Coordinator of the CIS Drama Festival that runs at The Stratford Festival, and he sits on the editorial board of the Council of Ontario’s Drama and Dance Educators’ (CODE) journal, Provocations. Brendon is a member of the OCT, Canadian Playwright’s Guild and CANSCAIP (Canadian Society of Children’s Authors, Illustrators and Performers) and the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT).
His plays, devising projects, and theatrical adaptations have been staged throughout North America, Europe, Australasia, and Africa. He has worked with various theatre companies, most recently The County Stage Company, The Kick & Push Festival, Outside the March and The Stratford Festival. Brendon has taught in various public and independent schools. He holds an MA from the Drama Centre at the University of Toronto, and an MEd equivalent from High Tech High School of Graduate Studies (San Diego).
He recently received an Honourable Mention in the Toronto Fringe Festival’s 24 Hour Playwriting Competition for his play New Math.
